Barrister of England & Wales (called 2023) and Stanford PhD, building a Commercial/Chancery practice focused on technology, international work, and commercial litigation. Pupillage at Monckton Chambers, contributing to large, multi-party collective proceedings before the Competition Appeal Tribunal. I also worked on live matters before the Court of Appeal. A placement in the Cabinet of Advocate General Professor Andrea Biondi at the CJEU reflects a longstanding interest in cross-border and conflicts-of-laws matters. As junior to the in-house counsel at the family office of a very high-net-worth individual, I worked on corporate and trust governance, commercial agreements and cross-border matters across North America, Europe and the Caribbean.   • March 2026 – August 2026: Junior to the In-House Counsel, TLTFO Services, London.
    Junior to the in-house counsel of the family office of a very high-net-worth individual and her family, supporting work across a multi-jurisdictional group of some 75 companies, trusts and investment vehicles spanning North America, Europe and the Caribbean.
  • Corporate structuring & governance:
    • Drafting amendments to the family’s governance and tax-liability agreements, and family-council policies built on the governance framework.
    • Advising on the duties and liabilities of trustees.
    • Helping to coordinate the formation of a new Jersey holding company, an Ontario limited company and a Delaware limited liability company to hold US real-estate investments.
  • Commercial contracts:
    • Reviewing and revising commercial contracts binding entities within the group.
    • Drafting NDAs across employment, construction, investment and real-estate matters for group entities across four jurisdictions.
  • Cross-border & tax:
    • Researching a cross-border land-tax question affecting the group’s real-estate holdings.
    • Analysing cross-jurisdictional legal-fee spend (UK, US and Canada) for tax-deductibility and cross-treaty reporting.
  • Litigation & legal operations:
    • Supporting the in-house counsel on US litigation.
    • Specifying and operating in-house legal-operations applications on Microsoft Azure (NDA generation, deadline tracking, invoice analytics), built through structured prompt engineering with Anthropic’s Claude.
  • January – February 2026: Legal Placement (unpaid), CJEU, Luxembourg
    Cabinet of Advocate General Professor Andrea Biondi (Italy). Worked with the Advocate General’s référendaire to prepare him for the hearing in Case C-238/25 (Bizerba): assembling the case bundle and helping to frame the questions to be put to the parties. Also conducted research on the effect of EU sanctions against Russia on an international arbitration and whether an award satisfying a sanctioned claim offends EU public policy — including the comparative position where the seat of arbitration lies outside the Union, a question of the reach of EU law and conflict of laws.

    Pupillage spanning commercial litigation, competition and public law, with live work before the Competition Appeal Tribunal, the General Court of the CJEU and the Court of Appeal.     • Gutmann v Vodafone & Ors — drafted V odafone’s skeleton in response to the collective-proceedings-order application.
    • Hammond v Amazon — drafted Amazon’s reply to the claimant’s application for permission to appeal.
    • Roberts v Severn Trent Water Ltd & Ors — drafted the prospective defendants’ costs application.
  • Appellate:
    • Sky v Ofcom (Court of Appeal) — drafted Ofcom’s skeleton requesting the Court dismiss Sky’s appeal and defending the determination that Sky’s pay-TV service is an ‘electronic communications service’ under the Communications Act 2003.
