Our practice of sports law involves the resolution of disputes arising from the business and regulatory aspects of professional and amateur sports. One key focus within this field is the enforcement of commercial rights, which are central to the financial ecosystem of modern sports.
Commercial rights in sports typically include broadcasting rights, sponsorship agreements, image rights, merchandising, and licensing deals. Litigation often arises when these rights are infringed, misappropriated, breached or not supplied.
Legal actions in this area seek to protect the integrity and value of exclusive agreements between rights holders (such as leagues, clubs, or athletes) and commercial partners. Enforcement may involve injunctions, damages, contractual remedies, or regulatory proceedings before sports governing bodies, arbitral tribunals, or national courts.
We also conduct first instance proceedings and appeals in National Sports Tribunals and the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
